We are using DNN 4.3.7 - source - both Library and Website are parts of our dev solution. A question I have is related to deployment of DNN to production environment - is it possible to precompile it ? We tried doing this using both - VS2005 Publish Website command and a Deployment Setup project. Actually, both of the ways lead to the same results - it could precompile the website, but when trying to access it, we get problems with Solpart menus (and everything that is read from resx files). .NET 2.0 does not allow copying the App_GlobalResources folder into precompiled environment so we could not bring the raw resx files for DNN to access them.

So the question is: is it possible to precompile the website so that it would work? (I believe precompilation is the Microsoft suggested way of preparing the website for deployment)

Or if it is not possible - what is the best practice, suggested way of deploying the DNN Website? Is it to put all the DNN core's and all modules' (that are distributed in a not compiled way) source code files into production environment?

Please advise.
