Hello Gurus.

I am having trouble with this problem.  My fresh install of DNN 441 resolves all access to "localhost".  I can only access the site from the computer it is installed on.

If I try the url : http://nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn/virtualdirectoryname/default.aspx it changes to http://localhost/virtualdirectoryname.  On the "localhost" where DNN is installed I see the DNN 441 home page.  On all other computers, it tries to find http://localhost/virtualdirectoryname and of course it isn't there so it gives a "Page Can Not Be Displayed" error.

I did define a Site Alias.  nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn/virtualdirectoryname on the site settings as host.

This is killing me!

Please provide me the guidance of your wisdom...

The only time this happens (redirect to localhost) is if the first alias in the table is the localhost one and the one you are trying to access doesn't exist yet. It is possible that you added the alias properly and the settings have not been changed yet because of caching.

Thanks Crispy.

Is there a way to force the cache to update?  As of today, it is still not working.
