I have a custom module and I want to create a role called "Managers".  I want to bind a dropdown with all users who belong to this role.  How can I do this?

The method (found in the DotNetNuke.Security.Roles.RoleController class)

Public Function GetUsersByRoleName (ByVal PortalID As Integer, ByVal RoleName As String) As ArrayList

will return an ArrayList of UserInfo objects for a given PortalID and RoleName. So, if ddlManagers is your drop downlist . . .

Dim rc As New DotNetNuke.Security.Roles.RoleController
With ddlManagers
    .DataSource=rc.GetUsersByRoleName(PortalID, "Managers")
    .DataTextField="Displayname"
    .DataValueField = "UserID"
    .DataBind()
End With
