I have a quick question.  We have a basic DNN3.2 setup with 20 domains.  We are currently using very little disk and bandwidth.  We pay for the hosting and domain redirects to our dnn folder.  But the hosting company now wants us to pay more, a lot more, per month to have more than 20 domains.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

I am so upset, that I would move all our accounts, domains and setups away from our current hosting company.  Any DNN hosting companies that can work with us and  you have had good experiences with would be great.

I know that some body has more than 20 domains in their dnn, at my day job we have twice that, but have our own in house servers.  Any examples of companies with more than 20 domains and good performance?

Thanks,  Doug

I have my sites hosted at M6.net...

I pay $9.95 a month and have the following

170Gb of disk space
1000Gb of monthly bandwidth
7 Websites (* See notes below, as this is not really an issue...)
2 SQL Server Databases

Now, here is the best part of the deal....technically when using 1 DNN installation and additional domains pointing to it they do NOT count it as another website.  Therefore if you have 1 DNN installation with 20 URLs pointing to it they would NOT charge you more for your hosting as you can have unlimited domain pointers!  You will of course still have the domain regisistration fees but no additional usage fees for the additional domains.

Thanks.  I will check them out.

What kind of hosting plans does everyone else have?  Are you happy with them?

Are most DNN installs only running a handful of domains and portals?  Or are people installing a new instance of DNN for each website?  We haven't been but should we be?

All of the sites I am running at this time are small sites so running on one installation is a VERY good idea and cost effective....if you have heavy hitting sites with a lot of traffic I might consider individual implementations...but mainly to ensure that one site doesn't affect the other rather than due to the stability of DNN.

I too use M6 Overall I am satisfied with them. Definitely satisfied with the package they offer.

But, I am having a problem getting DNN to work and getting there support is sometimes an issue. They don;t respond to support queries all that quickly.

Mitchel - I have another post here regarding a problem wit my web.config. In particular, the <customErrors mode="Off/> tag is not working. I am getting some error and I can;t see it because it thinks that customErrors is set to RemoteOnly. Any ideas? I can't get the M6 folks to help.

Thanks!
