Same here.

After modifying the following I was able to install DNN322, but can not login.

- with a custom trust level based on medium with unrestricted FileI/O permissions and Web permissions
- granted Full Control to the share with CasPol
- granted Full Control to the worker process account (WP) on the home directory (\\fileserver\share\username\webroot)
- granted list folder security right toWP to the fileserver (D:\)
- added custom tempDirectory variable to web.config (F:\Compilation\username)

Some other information:

- Using Windows Server 2003 with IIS6, .NET 1.1, FPSE2002
- Website is using domain accounts for the IUSR, and Administrative User
- Application Pool created with a domain account identity and added this account to the local IISWPG group
- Using SQL2000 on a Windows Server 2003 Cluster
- DNN322 is uploaded with FTP in the root of the website.

The installation gives no errors and the home page is loading. After logging in the FrontPage is loaded again but no extra Admin of Host tabs and no ControlPannel. The eventlog in SQL gives "LOGIN_SUPERUSER" and "/LOGIN_SUCCESS"

I am having the same issue on a new install of 4.0.2.  Click login, login boxes appear, login, redirects to home page with no errors.  There are no tabs and the links still say register and login.  Others stated it may be a cookie problem, so i cleared my history, deleted cookies, and deleted temp internet files.  Error still occurs.  Interestingly though, there is no cookie for DNN in my cookies folder, even after a "successful" login.  I am running XP SP2.  I have Norton Antivirus running, but nothing that should intercept cookies.

Any Thoughts?

If I change my cookie security under the privacy tab in IE to accept all cookies, it works.  However it does not work when set to medium.  My guess is DNN employs third-party personally identifiable cookies, which are blocked unless you specifically allow on a site or set your cookie security to accept all.
