Thanks thats great news! I have resized the window looks cool, and yes to open in another window is good as well.  Please could you just post me an example line of code showing this?  I'm a little nervous about code changes like that and not really made a change like that before.

Cheers

Dan

Hey Dan
Can you just clarify for me your desired behavior? so my example meets your need.

from what I gather, you want...

1. users to upload videos by pasteing the URL for a YouTube.com video.
2. when the user clicks on the video you want the video to open in a new browser window

what I'm not sure about is how you want the display to look? do you just want a 'directory' type listing? so there will be no image, just a description and a link that when clicked will display the video in a new window?

let me know how you want it to look and work, and I'll put up an example. The cool thing is that it's not a code change .. just a template change, and with a little copy and paste to a new template, it's easy to go back if  you mess it up :)

Hi Steve

Yes correct on points 1 & 2, if possible it would be good if on point 1, it could be either a URL location, or a file location.  The reason for that being the member may have the video already uploaded to youtube, where they would use a link.  Or they may have the file held locally where they would use a file path reference.

I'd like the listing to look just as it does now with the youtube skin, basically listing out the videos. ( I have resized the video window to 150 x 125) for my purposes.  When the member clicks the video it loads in another window the utube website and plays said video.

Another option would be just to add a link at the bottom of the entry, that allowed the user to click it and be taken to video on the youtube wesite, either in a new or existing window.

The above is really my wish list, I understand that you must be really busy, and I really I'm thankfull for all your help so far!

Let me know if anything is not clear.

Cheers

Dan

Is current version has preview image for listing?
I mean default view play icon is a bit disgusting for youtube

Hi Steve,

Could you give me an example of what the code should look like, to play the video in another window, by removing the object and and Embed tags?

Cheers

Dan
