I am trying to move my site to another place.. since I am very lazy to retype mose content I wanted to use export content option from one site and import it on another site...

I have exported my FAQ module and copied the file to another site and went ot import module content but then at the place where I have to select the file ot import content from there is no files in the dropdown list. I have this file at the root directory of a portal but it is not showing up at the import module content drop down list...

what am I doing wrong?

I think I am doing something wrong since the template is also not working... th e templates file is there when you look through FTP but it is not showing on list of templates.... same as module content import....

BTW when I saved my old site as template it give me only 1 file .resources but I read everywhere that there should be  2 files .template and .resources to make it work....

Yes, in case of saving template including content there should have been created 2 files in "Portals\_default" folder: <portal_name>.template and <portal_name>.template.resources. Guess either there's something wrong with your portal's template export feature. Only one way left backup your database and restore it on the server your second portal is connected to. And copy all the files of course.
