How does one add new file types to the FILEICON?  I noticed that the "unknown" FILEICON is shown for many of the files in my repository and I would like to update these.

Also, the FILEICON appears to be stretched past the native size of the image.  How can this be fixed?

Thanks all!

Spence

icon images are stored in DesktopModules\Repository\images\icons

if you want to add a new file type icon, create a .png, .gif or .jpg with the extension as the filename. For example, to create an icon for excel files with an .xls extension, you would create an image named xls.png ( or xls.gif or xls.jpg ) and place it in the icons folder. If no matching icon is found, then unknown.png is used by default.

There's a bug in the template file. It will be fixed in the next build, however if you want to change it yourself, edit the template.html file for the skin you're using and change the first row of the template to look like this...

 <TR>
  <TD>
  <TABLE CLASS="normal" WIDTH="100%" CELLSPACING="0" CELLPADDING="0">
  <TR BGCOLOR="Gainsboro">
   <TD CLASS="Head" ALIGN="Left" WIDTH="1" VALIGN="Middle">[EDIT]</TD>
   <TD CLASS="normal" ALIGN="Left" WIDTH="16" VALIGN="Middle">[FILEICON]</TD>
   <TD CLASS="Head" ALIGN="Left" VALIGN="Middle" style="padding-left: 3px;">[TITLE]</TD>
  </TR>
  </TABLE>
  </TD>
 </TR>

That worked like a champ!  I took a couple of the more popular file type icons that are included in Peter Donker's excellent Document Exchange module and added them to the DesktopModules\Repository\images\icons directory.

If you would like to include them in the next release, I will leave them up for download at http://
www.spencehackney.com/portals/0/Repository_Filetypes.zip for a couple of days.  Thanks for the help Steve!
