DOC-1458:  Document Icons,
i'm trying to customize the documents module to add file type icon column, i found difficulty in doing that. Is there any easy manual to customize a module?

I want to customize the document module myself, but can't seem to find any real information.

What I want to do is add various columns such as an extra file link, revision, next review date, etc

The current version of the documents module can be modified if you have Visual Studio 2003 as it is a .NET 1.1 solution.

The new version which is in the process of being prepared to go into the release process will migrate it to a .NET 2.0 solution.

As for how you modify the module you will need to download and install the source version of the module, then you can open the solution to modify the files.

Thanks :)

You don't have any estimation as when the .NET 2.0 solution will be released, or is planned on being released?

Also, I've downloaded the source version from sourceforge, but now my question is, how do I install it? Do I just copy and replace the existing files? Or do I just replace the binary files (Given I have not changed the ascx files, but will later on)?

At this time I am not 100% sure when the new solution will be released.  I am working with Anthony and the rest of the team to try and get this new version out the door....but at this time we have no timeline.

Once you have the source version if you install the module via Module Definitions it will expand and extract all needed source files for you.
