Hi, I create a small module to add comments (and another to rate) articles, documents, references, etc... (elements registered in my database). Comment Module can be added everywhere, just I need to indicate the ID of the record in addition to the "section" (complement of my ID).

Everything went great until now (I refreshed the page after submit a comment)... If I submit a comment and then REFRESH the page, I get a duplicate insert record, similar situation happend with the other module used for rating . I am figuring out ways to solve the problem, but none works except redirect the page (reload) using the current querystring but lossing the ViewState of each control.

This is an old discussion, but new for me...http://aspalliance.com/687

Recommendation and suggestions are very welcome
Thanks

You could do somehting like the HTML module and put a variable into the ViewState to say that a comment has already been added.  then check for it before adding another comment.

I tried it, but did not work.

Is there a way to fire an 'false' event. If this is possible, the page refresh (F5) will not make any effect because will apply a false event...

Please, advice is VERY welcome

Thanks

Hi Albas.

Did you ever find a solution to this problem?
