Dear dnn-fellows

I want to implement two solpartmenu's (dnn:MENU).
A horizontal menu with only the root menu... (that is simple... just set rootonly="true")
A vertical menu that always start with the second level... this means the first level beneath the active tab on the horizontal menu.

The possibility to set level={Root|Same|Child} is always relative and not absolute. That means when I click for instance a tab on the second level then the vertical menu display the third level when I set level="child". The third level is the child of the second level.
Who can help me?

I think this is not possible with SolpartMenu as the only control as you have tried is root only and child only.

For your vertical you might try Inventua Menu as it has couple of more options for displaying the menu root only, Child only  as well as a few options in between. (Sorry as it has been a few months that I did one) old age means memory like a fish.

Hi Salaro

Thanks for your answer...
I know that I can use a few other controls... like

Navigator menu from bi4ce
This is a expand collapse menu but it has only 2 levels...

The inventua SideMenu is only a menu that displays a vertical list of hyperlinks... It is easy customizable but it has not the possibilities of the solpartmenu...

I was wondering why John Henning give us not the possibility to set the level to 0(Root), 1(second level)...
I know you can do a lot of thinks with StartTabId, but that is not what I want...

B.t.w. you've done I fine job with the solpartmenu used in a tabmenu in your skin acumen II. Congratulations...

Dear Salaro
Or other dnn-guys...

Could you tell me how you have you done this...
The rootmenuitems are between several divs so that you could set a css to hover items...
<div><div><div>RootmenuItem</div></div></div>
Normally the js of the solpartmenu doesn't set this by default...
