Hi Chris,

Is the timeline on www.dnnforum.com still correct, with a March 30th submission to the DNN build/review  process?  Just looking for an ETA, I've got 3 sites that have been eagerly waiting for the new functionality.

Do you use Oracle?  Then try GoldFish.Net

Get it from CNET Download.com!

It has been pushed a few days but hopefully I will find the two outstanding bugs and be able to submit it to the release process this week. (I will update the site w/ a newer ETA)

Hi Crispy, I saw the ETA (April 15) and I have a question for you. What do you recommend for a new website: Wait until the new DNN 4.5 and new Forum has been release, or use the current DNN 4.4.1 and current forum 3.20.08 to deploy a site?.

I was waiting (willing to wait) since March 12th for the new DNN and new Forum module, but looks like I 'can't affort' more time. However, if you really recommend to wait, please let me know.

Probable upgrade from dnn 4.4.1 to 4.5 wont be hard, but forum from 3.20.08 to 4.4 maybe will be harder...(no idea).

Thanks

I am trying to minimize the upgrade pain. The upgrade install is the same, but there are a ton of configuration changes. I think the module will release somewhere around that date. I plan on packaging it up Sunday for final release (which takes all of 20 seconds for me thanks to nant). From an admin perspective, starting w/ the fresh 4.4 forum module will be easier.

Configuration changes as in changes from the settings page?  I.e. no data will be lost upon the upgrade but inaccessible until the changes are complete?
