Hi

I was working on my website last night with no problems, tried this morning but unable to access website,  I've spoke to web hosting company who say their server is ok.  They said the first (home) page is pointing to www.****.co.uk/login/tabid/55/default.aspx - is this a the standard home page adress for DNN or could it be a page i deleted? if so, does anyone know how i change the default home page in my database.

any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks

Barry

I don't believe there is a 'standard' home page address.
What is the error you are seeing?  This will help in determining what the cause could be.
You could try www.****.co.uk/?ctl=login this will normally take you to the login page specified in the site settings.  If you have changed this then deleted the page, I think you are going to have directly edit the DB which requires SQL knowledge.  Do you have access to the DB using SQL Management studio or similar?
A tip for future once you have access to the site, create a second site in the install leave it with default settings and only use it to login as super user.  This way if the real site becomes unavailable then you can at least access the install and the site settings of the unavailable site as well as run SQL commands against the DB.

It's been my experience that if the site is a stand-alone or the first portal that the home page tabid is 36. Do you have access to the database? If you look under the tabs table you'll be able to see for sure what the tabid is for your Home page and also the tabid for your other pages. There's also an IsDeleted field in that table. I don't know for sure if this will work or not but if the bit for IsDeleted for tabid 55 is set to 1 you could try setting it back to 0 and then seeing if you can get into the site.

Alternatively you can look in the Portals table and change the HomeTabID to <null> if it's set to something else.
