I ran into the same problem when I started using DNN for our website.  The way we overcame that limitation was by using the Search feature.  If you add an object to the Repository it will eventually be entered into the sites search engine.  You can search for the keywords of your document then copy and paste the link contained in the search results and use that in your blog.

Steve, another question about this. Every entry has an "ID", is there a way to use this as a token? I would like to display and "Article ID" so that I could direct users to the repository and tell them "Search for Article ID xxxxxx".
