I have a godaddy virtual dedicated server that allows me to set up multiple domains on the server but I'm getting "Error Creating Portal" when I try and create a parent portal or a child portal

I have successfully moved DNN to the root redirectory in my Godaddy virtual dedicated server.

I have www.masterytv.com as the main host account.

I've added thecourseinmastery.com to my domain list in the directory /thecourseinmastery

In DNN I go the portal set up screen and enter the following:

Portal Alias: www.thecourseinmastery.com
Home directory: masterytv2/thecourseinmastery
(masterytv2 is the root loginname, I've also tried, /thecourseinmastery, thecourseinmastery)
Template: MasteryTV (I've also tried Club or Organization Site)

I don't know if there is a setting I'm missing or if I'm entering something incorrectly. I can't find anyone at GoDaddy who will answer my questions.

Any help here would be very appreciated.

What I would suggest is pointing your domain thecourseinmastery.com to your hosting root, not a directory.  Then when you go in to DNN, just set up a new parent portal with the alias thecourseinmastery.com and the default home directory (Portals/[PortalID]).  I've done that for 3 different portal / domain combinations and never had a problem.
