The upgrade issue you listed is neglectable, and the default.aspx also, if it only occured on first access. But the Default Skin issue might depend on the same reason. Did you have compression activated, when upgrading?

OK, being desperate, removed everything from my hosted account except the portal directory.  Re-uploaded the 4.5 complete install package, triple-checked the web.config file and tried to get evth up and running with the DB that was apparently correctly upgraded to 4.5.0. (during the first upgrade process)

Doesn't work ... see problem below ... this seems to be a new entry in the 4.5 web.config file ...

any ideas ?? am getting really frustrated always having to worry about possible upgrade failures with DNN ...

Never changed anything of compression configurations - kept always everything at default in the web.config.

Forgot to mention that the default.aspx problem was appearing consistenly, not only once.
