Hello all,

I've been running adsense on my site for awhile, certainly with mixed performance results.  If adsense servers that serve up the ads are performing normally, my site is "usable" though the page does load much slower with adsense script (normally I copy into any module's header or put into a text/html module) than it does without.

Due to performance issues with adsense servers, my site wasn't loading the page at all until the adsense ad came up.  Of course this is a ridiculous situation....  my site should always be allowed to come up regardless of whether the ads ever come up at all.  Performance is KEY... especially on my forums where my users are very demanding and want to click into 20 or 30 pages in the 2 minutes they have available.  They don't want to wait 5 or 10 seconds per page.

Therefore, I started to change tactics.  I put the adsense code into an .htm "hidden" page on my site and loaded the code through an iframe..    I can put the iframe into the html/text module, or even into the header of a module...  and while I did start getting some better behavior, I'm still having an issue I was hoping someone here may have solved.

With adsense loading in an iframe, the page will load, and the adsense ad pops in later when it's ready...  however, I can't scroll the window or click on any links in my page until the adsense ad is done loading.  So it displays fine, but I can't continue my browsing until the adsense ad loads... which it sometimes will never load at all, making the entire page unusable until you hit refresh on the browser, hoping the ad will load.

Any ideas?  adsense has been very slow and intermittent since perhaps thurs/fri of last week.

I have had this test Adsense site up since late last summer. It seems to load pretty quick, but still can take a few seconds. But for me, I think most of the lag is the fact that I have a couple of RSS feeds on the site to mix up the content from and SEO perspective.

I did a little SEO on this site, but have not worked on it much in a few months. I get about $4 - $8 per month. I have thought a good bit about doing some Adsense Arbitrage, but don't have the time right now to focus on that. If I could see how Arbitrage might work, then I could easily create 100+ sites in a week.

Anyone else doing much Adsense Arbitrage?
