Hi there,

my custom module is located in the center pane and left and right panes are empty.

My module's grid is using width 100% and in DNN prior to 4.5 my grid looked very nice and coverd the entire screen. But now it seems as if 4.5 is always reserving some real-estate for the left and right pane. I cannot get my grid to be full width.

Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

Thanks for your support.

Cheers,

Tillman

Tillman,

I have not run in to this problem myself, but If you could post the html/css that you are using or provide a link to a demo site I would be happy to take a look.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly!

Could you please try to set up a page with a full-width skin an then just drop some module in the center pane and leave the left and right pane empty. I am sure that you will not have the module spanning the entire screen width. I just realized that this is completely unrelated to the kind of module because even the log-in module is not covering the entire screen anymore whereas in DNN prior to 4.5 the login screen would almost be of full width.

There seems to be something odd about this in 4.5.

Hope you have some idea!

Update: I just did a clean install of 4.5 on another machine and there it works flawlessly. So this gotta have something to do with the upgrade I performed from 4.4.x to 4.5.
Any idea what could be causing this?

Best regards,

Tillman

I am seeing the same behavior with a clean install of 4.5.0.

Many times this depends on the skin you are using.  Skins can limit the module with their own code.  Have you checked to see if this is part of the problem?  I am not having this problem in my DNN 4.5 install.  I have empty panes on the right and left, and a TEXT/HTML module in the content pane, and when the home page is viewed the module spans the entire width of the page.

Not to be silly, but is it possible you're not logging out to see the "non-admin" view?
