Well, I've hit another hurdle in my struggle to install DNN 4.5.  Is anyone else seeing this?

After the DB is created, I get the prompts for the Host userid and the Admin userid.  I enter in my info, hit Next, then I get this:

Error Installing Portal:
Error creating Portal

I can't seem to find any log file giving me a clue as to what the error might be, so I'm at a loss.  Any ideas?

Hi, are you using Install Wizard?

I had problems with permission test under Godaddy root (but that is a known issue), i could pass the issue with disabling install wizard and using manual installation, there is a setting at web.config that lets you use old style installing.

I'll double-check, but permissions (I assume you mean File Permissions), shouldn't be an issue.  Plus, I had the installer do a permissions check, and it came back okay.

Any other ideas?

We are experiencing the same problem when trying to add a new portal through the Hosts --> Portals --> Add New Portal.

The problem occurs on the selection of the Portal Template.  If we select Personal Site, Small Business Site or Club/Organization Site, then we get the Error creating Profile Definitions problem.

If you select the DotNetNuke portal template option, it will create the portal.

Unfortunately, that's the only choice that the Installation Wizard gives you, so that can't be it for me.

Any other ideas?
