no.  when usefriendlyurls = "Y" then no tabs work, and I can't login/register/etc.   when usefriendlyurls = "N", then tabs work and I can create new tabs yet nothing uploaded through the modules, documents, external/internal urls work.  everything gives a page cannot be found error.

The following link throws a Page Cannot Be Found Error

I also noticed there is no aspn_client folder within the DNN root Install folder.  I've copied an aspnet_client folder from one of my other application into the DNN application folder, yet still no luck.   I'm not sure if there's supposed to be any files within the aspnet_client\system_web\2_0_50727 folder, yet there's nothing there.

this looks like an issue with the URLrewriter, did you make additional changes in web.config or SiteUrls.config?

Actually you, me and several other users are having this same issue on different set ups. Here is the thread I started earlier today:

I am attempting to set up a clean install on a shared server using IIS 6.0 and SQL 2005. If you read the post you'll see that I am on my third attempt to wipe the site and db and install again. I am now back to the starting point with DNN V 4.5.0 and the Register, Login, Terms of Use & Privacy links all return a 404 Page Not Found error. See http://www.networkedneighbors.com.

I don't mind using either approach, i.e. (useFriendlyURL = "N" or useFriendlyURL = "Y") just need everything to work.
