Greetings!

I developed a DNN site locally and now need to move to a production server.  I've done this a hundred times before except this time I need the port alias to be an IP address:port. So . . . xxx.xxx.xxx.xxxx:8017

When I change it and try to browse the site - it hangs on opening site.  It never quite finishes and the CPU hovers at like 8-12% utilization.  I let it run for about 15 minutes before I killed the browser.

I'm running the latest 4x version on framework 2.0 and Windows 2003 Server.

Anyone have any ideas?

Please make sure that the mentioned port is not being used any other process.

Ensure that you have enabled the "UsePortNUmber" setting in the web config.  (I believe that is the name of the setting)

Thanx Mitch. Your answer helped me after I spent 2 days figuring out why DotNetNuke won't work on my computer :)
