HP,

I was wondering if there is any way through which i can restrict the number of characters of description in RSS. As it shows the full description if i use any style provided in "Styles" folder.

Naveen

Naveen,

this issue looks much easier then it is.

Surely is there a way to display only the first e.g. 250 characters of the entry (look for xsl translation), but what happens if the closing html tags of the entry are missing because of cutting the rest of the entry ?

I have the problem already under observation, but I don't have a general solution yet. But I'm sure I will find a solution in future.

regards

HP

You surely will... There is no doubt about it. And i know i am troubling you too much. I have another query.

I have created a group called bloggers. It is the group which has the permission to create their blogs. I have enabled the comments in the blog (Means all the bloggers will allow the comments to be posted on the blogs). Now when any of the blogger (say A) logs in and goes to the blog of another blogger (Say B). Here A is able to edit the comments written in the Blog of B. Is it possible that the comments specified in the blog of B can be edited by only the owner that is B.

I have used the following permissions
Bloggers (View Edit)
All Users (View)
Registered Users (View)

Regards,
Naveen

I believe you have setup some permission wrong.

Here is a training video for the general setup, please check whether you have setup the module as shown in this video.

Here the link (The module is called NewBlog but the seetings are the same, I believe I must create a new video)

Let me know what happens.

If you have ongoing problems you could setup an account for me so that I can have a look for that problem on your site.

Thanks HP, Problem is solved. The problem was of permission only. The user through which i was testing was in the Administrator Group that's why i was able to edit the comments. Thanks again.

Regards,
Naveen
