Just upgraded from 3.1.1 to 4.4.1.

In V3 and before you could add the same user across different portals by entering the same details as the existing one.  Just found out with 4.4.1 you cannot do it this way. 

Is there any workaround?  We have some users that we want to have Admin level access across some portals and its better if they don't have to remember different logins for each site. We don't want to give them Superuser status.

you should be able to use the same details (username, email address, and password)  I have done this on my 4.4.1 sites..

That was the way I was doing it under 3.1.1 but when I try it with 4.4.1 it says a user with that user id already exists.

I am sure that I had entered the correct details.  I will try again but if anyone else has an idea please let me know

You can check out a posting I replied to about this subject a while back.  It covers the basic idea of how you can do this.  Mostly what you do is add a line to UserPortals table with the PortalId and the UserId (if I remember correctly its been a while).  Once the line is added you are set.  We wrote a custom module to handle this but it can be done just as easily at the database level.
