what am I doing wrong?

or maybe there is a better blog somewher for download ( purchase ) the one that will attache files and pictures will be good!

Hi Julia

One very cost effective solution may be to use the Ventrian Articles module as a blog. This will allow images to be used.

I see Michell Sellers uses this for his excellent technical articles site. http://www.mitchelsellers.com/Blogs/tabid/54/Default.aspx

http://www.ventrian.com   The system is that you subscribe and get access to all modules - $25 for 3 months. This includes the very useful Simple Gallery

hope this helps

Ian

Julia,

Before you hack another module to perform as a blog, please let me inform you that the issue with username on the blog comments has been addressed in the next release of the blog.

The blog is currently in testing and QA fase as should be released very soon.

Coming from the core blog... THAT is funny.

I am a huge fan of the Ventrian products. IMHO, NewsArticles left the core blog module behind a long long time ago- and is more than worth the money.

Y01nk,

Julia mentioned ONE specific issue which is that she does not want to display username, rather she wants to display full name.
As the project lead for the blog module (just started BTW) to fix and improve on the product as well as respond to forum queries such as this one.

I would be doing Julia a great disservice by not telling her that the ONE issue she is complaining about was fixed. Furthermore, with all due respect to Ventrian and Scott M., I think that Julia is better off waiting a few more days+ rather that having to install, learn, and pay for a new product that is not originally built to be a blog.

I am glad you find my posts "FUNNY" - at least, if nothing else, I provide some entertainment value ;)
