I am running v4.5 and am using ajax on a custom registration page.  For the longest time I couldn't get my required field validator to work correctly.  Then I found out that the ASP.NET validators don't work with AJAX 1.0.  I found some compatible validators on Matt Gibbs blog (blogs.msdn.com/mattgi/archive/2007/01/23/asp-net-ajax-validators.aspx).  The validators work now, but only when I am actually logged in to my site.  As an anonymous user the validator is broken as usual.

Question is:  does anyone know what might cause the validator to work when logged in, but not when anonymous?  Does the trust level change on login, or anything like that???  Any help is greatly appreciated!

Set the Default Cache Time to 0 (and click the Update Cache Properties button to set it).

AJAX worked beautifully after setting the default cache time to 0...

however, when an error occurs, the module error message won't appear.  When I uncheck "Support Partial Rendering", the error message will appear.  Is there any way to use the DotNetNuke standard module error messages AND enable AJAX on a module?

Thanks!
