Ok, I'm using EasyCGI as my host. My main portal says that logging has been dissabled by my host. I have no problem with this at the time. The sub-portals I create for my users automatically have site-logger enabled. I would be ok with this, except that when you look at the site-log in a subportal, you see ALL events. Even user registrations / logins in another sub-portal. Of course this is a concern because private information, such as real names and email addresses are visable to all sub-portals. Even if the user is only registered in one portal.

How can I fix this? Can I dissable logging in all sub-portals? How?

I need help before this kills my site (because no one thinks it's secure).

Thanks

Site-logger is dissabled on the sub-portals, but the Log Viewer is what was showing everything.

However, I'm beginning to wonder if it was because I was logged in as Host. I would think that the log-viewer would be specific to the portal it's in, regardless of what user permissions I had.

I have not looked at this issue specifically , however if you want to turn off the log for a specific site when logged in as host, you can turn off the site log on a portal by portal basis under Portal Settings within the Host Settings section.

Do you mean the Site Log or the Log Viewer? What version of DNN are you using? I just checked my 4.4.0 install and can only see the Log events for all portals if I'm logged in with Host credentials. Using Admin credentials only allows me to see that particular portal.

DNN 4.4.1

I meant the "Log Viewer". Sorry for the confusion. I attempted to post that earlier, but I guess my second post never got approved for some reason.

Anyway, I was logged in as host, so that is probably what is going on.

I think this implementation is a bit klugy. Wouldn't it be better to just show the log info for the site you are on? The option is an admin option after all. There should be a Log Viewer under the Host menu that shows all portals.
