I tried to use DnnTree inside a DataGrid and the events (edit/update/delete events of datagrid) stopped to work. I have read in another post that with the built-in populateOnDemand you loose control of the post-back events. DnnTree and DataGrid work independently from each other, but as soon as I call:

dnt.TreeNodes.Clear()

it stops working meaning events stop to fire (nothing happens when clicking Edit-button) like:

Handles DataGrid.EditCommand

I was trying to debug for few days and taking DNNTree now out of Datagrid. DNNTree is a cool control on its own.

Is this a known problem or was I heading in the wrong direction!?

While I am not sure about the GUI of having a tree inside a grid, I have just tried a quick and dirty sample, placing a tree inside both the EditItemTemplate and the ItemTemplate.  The edit and cancel commands still fire with no issues.

Thank you Jon for clarification and the test! I will then have to find the reason on some other place.
