I keep getting complaints that the repository isn't a true "podcast", but I have no idea how that works because I've never used a program like that.  From what they are telling me, they want to automatically download the audio/video file when reading the feed, and all they get is the link to the website.  I searched the forums a bit here, and find a few references to this issue, such as changing the [FILE] tag to [URL] to give an actual link to the file.

Can someone tell me how podcasting works and how I can make the repository work like that?

...Bump...

Does anyone have any information on this?

I have been asking about this for a while as well. Here are issues with the module in it's current form:

1. The download method
2. The RSS feed needs to be slightly modified. This could be as simple as an XSL transformation

If this was PHP I could likely do it in a few hours, but I simply don't have any experience with .NET. I am still hoping that someone will offer to do this work. I am willing to pay!

Well, it is now officially starting to hit the fan here...  I was directed to put a podcast function onto the website...  Anyone have any word on if the new version of the module will support this?

I was looking at purchasing a podcasting module, but the only ones I found so far are not appealing at all...
