Clean install with 4.0.2 with SQLserver 2000 give the same result. With of without qualifier. Anyone a solution.

i got the same error
and i tried all ways in google
i spent 10 hoours in that
any help from DNN

it is really not a good point in DNN
no good documentation

After several hours searching in the wrong direction, i'm one step further. I think the solution for teh GetPortals error is to get your serverextentions correct and your permissions. At least that's what did the trick for me. 

 Anyway.: Looking for a solution for the next error, below. Anyone ??

Server Error in '/CMSRCH' Application.

The stored procedure 'dbo.RCH_GetTabByName' doesn't exist.

Ok, At this forum entry the solution was given.

This is the solution given in that thread:

  1. Drop the existing database
  2. Recreate your database and select SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS as your Collation Name (General tab)
  3. Apply logins according to DNN Install instructions

Installation is done, only the default portal is not created, but that should not be a big problem. DNN documentation should mention this pre-req.

I'm also new at DNN and have just experienced the same error-message. It turned out that the path for my Virtual Directory was wrong.
