Still encountering the delays.  The site is in a web farm environment and has been moved from another server group.  I'm going to try an installation from scratch and see if I get different behaviour.  Thank you very  much for taking the time to respond.  I think that I might have a complex problem that I can't resolve from a single setting.

Ahhh, a webfarm.  That is another one that can cause it.  I'm guessing that you are sharing your cache folder for the other servers then.
I haven't personally done this, but I have seen other reports of file locking when doing it that way.

If it was working before the upgrade, then I would stop all servers and delete the cache files, then restart them.
I think chances are pretty high that you will still get the errors if you are sharing the cache folder though.

Interesting, I just got this for the very first time with the new wiki module/test install of 4.5.1. I had only just installed the Wiki and within a few minutes of using it the below error message happened. It's working now, but issue might come back (only played with it for 5 minutes).....

>because it is being used by another process

Do you reckon it's possible for DNN to find out was this process is, would this be a useful enhancement?

Hi,

After our upgrade to 4.5.1 we are now getting this error.  You say that we should use a different cache folder, how can we do this?  We have a 3 server farm, but we have been keeping all the files on a shared clustered drive.  I would think that there should be a seperate Cache folder for each server that is accessing the Cache folder.  Like under the Cache folder create a folder using the machine name or something, so that each server is using a different location.  Does this make since?

Andrew
