hi,

I would like to know if it is possible to set up page securities in order to let a page be modified only by the author of the same page (and the administrator, of course). I've tried to do it with basic authorization methods but I can't do that, since authorizations seem to be based mainly on roles, and not users name/ID. Does DNN at least memorize somewhere in the DB the ID of the user who created the page? Being a developer I could modify the DNN core in order to use that information to my own security needs.

In short, is there a way to do what I'm trying to do, and I haven't found it yet? Otherwise, if I need to modify the code, which should be the easiest route?

thank you in advance

With the new DNN I saw some more security settings on the page... You could add specific users instead of the defined roles. So I don't know if it can help :-)

With DNN 4.5.0 and later you can add permissions for a specific user.  You would need to administrativly create a page then assign the permissions to the specific user. Then you could give them the desired permissions.
