Is there a way to have an events page which hosts only the calendar module, then have a listview on the home page using the same information that the first events module holds?

I would like to have a summary on the main page, but then allow users to click over to the events page for a more in-depth look.

Thanks!

Rob

Absolutely!  If you look on my band's site (www.tidewaterdrive.com) on the "Schedule" page, you'll see 2 instances of the module.  The 1st (at the top of the page) w/the list view and the 2nd with the calendar month view.  The way this is accomplished is by setting up the main module instance, adding events, and then referencing (subcalendars) the first instance in the second instance of the module.

Hmmm... I assume this is the master event module?

I set up two modules, one on the home page, and one on the events page.  I set up the events page as the master, and selected the events from the home page as a subcalendar, but for some reason, the first (and only event) is not showing up on my list calendar on the home page.  I've configured the home page calendar for list mode and show the next 4 events over the next 365 days, but nothing.

If I change the home page event calendar from list to month view, the test event  on April 28th doesn't show (you can see it here: http://www.rockfordtempleband.org).

Also, not sure why 'display time zone here' is showing up - - another setting I need to adjust?

I must be missing something simple - this is dnn 3.7.7 with the 3.02.00 events module.

Thanks for your help!

Rob

Ah - I think I got it.

Although it wasn't the way I expected...

I removed both modules and recreated the main one first - using default settings.

On the home page, I created a new events module, and then under 'Event Module Settings'> 'Event List Settings', I was able to select my main calendar module in the setting 'Selected Events'...

I've got it looking the way I want now, but I still don't understand why the 'Master Settings' didn't do this.  Maybe I'm just not getting something?

Thanks for your help, btw!  This is my first foray into DNN, and I'm loving it!

Rob
