Hi

I am not aware of such a document.

when you add a new portal, portal alias should exist and be available.

suppose localhost://dotnetnuke is your main site.and is equal to 127.0.0.1/dotnetnuke

any sub portal alias should directly or undirectly address above IP and website.

i.e. http://yourcomputername/dotnetnuke or http://yourdomainalias/dotnetnuke

dotnetnuke manages urls to redirect user to the specified portal.

when creating parent portals there will be a default.aspx file in the newly created parent portal.

so accessing parrent portals can be done this way too.

http://localhost/dotnetnuke/parent_name

yours
