A large site with a lot of bloggers uploading images and attachments can eat up storage space in a hurry. An Admin option to limit the number of entries a user can make before the need to delete old ones would be a welcome option.

Question: Do I need to download the source version to determine which file types are allowed? Is there documentation on the module? It would be a nice feature to allow admin to determine the file types allowed.

Hm, not so easy !

That should mean that you have blog entries with orphant links (images and attachments)

The file types are specified in Host Settings Advanced Settings File Upload Externsions.

The problem is that a devious user could drain your resources dry. Without an admin watch option in the application, you would never know that they were doing it unless your were watching your server stats all day long.

I know in Will's active forum module you can run an admin watch on a user that is questionable. Maybe that would be a easier implementation.

I would think that other users, of the module, who run high traffic sites must have considered the same issue.

Sure, I understand your problem (your thoughts), but as I have written; it is not so easy to find the right solution.

For the moment I don't have any "good" idea. If you have an actual problem the only way is to disable the upload feature in the module option.

See once, maybe I will have some more thoughts in a solution like "quota",

HP

BTW: You will have the same problem if you are using the file manager, there is no restriction on user basis.
