I'm new to the whole DNN community.  I read the quick start guide and was able to get a handle on how it works etc...
We have a site being hosted on a DNN host(aspnix.net) and just recently had the need to allow our clients to upload files to us via our website.  I looked around and found the Repository Module and decided this would resolve the issue.

I followed the instructions in the manual.  Installation seemed to be going well but then I recieved an error.  I looked in the forums before posting to make but couldnt find anything related to the error I am recieving.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.  Here is the error message:

StartJob Creating files Failure ExceptionSystem.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'C:\Domains\creditbureauservices.com\wwwroot\DesktopModules\Repository' is denied. at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.Directory.InternalCreateDirectory(String fullPath, String path, DirectorySecurity dirSecurity) at System.IO.Directory.CreateDirectory(String path, DirectorySecurity directorySecurity) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaDnnInstallerBase.CreateModuleFile(PaFile File, PaFolder Folder) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaDnnInstallerBase.CreateFiles(PaFolder Folder) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaDnnInstallerBase.Install(PaFolderCollection folders) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.ResourceInstaller.PaInstaller.Install()

The error is pretty straightforward ... your web site does not have permission to write to create the Repository folder where the module needs to reside.

Make sure the ASP.NET or NETWORK SERVICE user account has create/write rights to the DesktopModules folder.

I normally grant the ASP.NET or NETWORK SERVICE account full access to root folder for my DotNetNuke sites.

Thanks for your reply Steve!  I'm checking with my hosting provider (aspnix.com) so that I can get the module installed.

My host added the permissions I need to install the Repository Module.  However, I received the same error and let them know.  They replied with the following:

No, it doesn't need to be restarted. If you still get error, it means the problem is not with permissions. See if ther are any incompatibilites in your code with .NET2.0 Medium trust.

Does this make sense at all?
