Hi,

Facing a problem using gallery module , works fine some times

but gives the exception object refrence not set to an instance frequently

i am using dotnetnuke 4.3.7 source

In the future, you might want to search the forums for other peoples questions as this topic has been discussed MANY times.

But, since you didn't, your choices are either to accept that the current gallery module is beta and live with the issue, or run a patched version (www.Jegers.com)

Hi

I tried the solution provided by www.Jegers.com but the gallery module

provided  is 3.X  and i am using 4.3.7 having  version conflict.

Sorry, I don't understand what issue/errors you are actually having.

Yes, the gallery module is version 3.0.something.  That is just the version of the gallery module.  It is just a number, it has nothing to do with anything.  When you say you are running 4.3.7, I assume you mean DNN 4.3.7?  Yes that will work. Generally any 4.x version of DNN will work with the "patched" gallery module.  So I don't know what you mean by a version conflict.

Hi,

I tried adding  the patched version of gallery module to dnn 4.3.7, by following the steps provided in the Gallery 2007.04.24 readme jimJ

Firstly i removed the 2 dlls in bin and desktop-> gallery folder , then copied the desktop->gallery folder and Appcode-gallery folder

provided by Gallery 2007.04.24 and finaly build my solution then i got this error

Error parsing attribute 'enableEventValidation': Could not load file or assembly 'DotNetNuke.Modules.Gallery, Version=3.0.11.3077, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. 

in the following files

Integration_GalleryAddFile.aspx

Integration_MediaGallery.aspx

Integration_GalleryAddAlbum.aspx

Integration_GalleryAddFiles.aspx
