Hi all i had the same problem.

Copy the original "machineKey" tag from the old Web.config into your new web.config then it works for me.

Hi,

I also copied the machine key from the old web.config to the new one, and this way it works for a couple of days. But after a a few days, i simply can't login with any of the users.  I don't know if there is any connection or not, but today this happened to me again just after i tried to browse my portal, but i got the install page saying "dnn is already installed". Taking a look at the web.config the keys are fine, but today is added as the date of installation. Is it possible that this automatic installation? spoils my site? Why does it happen? How can I swithc it off?

Thanks!

Ors

Had similar issues, but after following directions (including the MachineKey Tag) and recycling the app pool all is well.
