My Registration email text (EMAIL_USER_REGISTRATION_PUBLIC_BODY.Text) has the following

Dear [Profile:FullName],

your details are:

Username: [Membership:UserName]
Password: [Membership:Password]

Thanks

[Portal:PortalName]

--------

The [Membership:Password] doesn't send anything in the email received by the users although everything else works as expected.

I've checked the email reminder and it's working fine in that email.

Can anyone help please?

I'm on DNN 4.3.7

Thanks,

Will

please notice, that host and admin passwords are not sent out in registration mail. besides there are various templates according to the registration type chosen in site settings.

Thank you for your reply  - I'm making some good inroads with DNN but still have a lot to cover.

Regarding my portal, it is set to Private. The email is meant to go out to users (not admin or host) to inform them their account has been set up. Of course, I'd like to be able to send their password as well as their username.

Should I be using a different token in the email? I've been unable to find a source that lists what tokens I can use in the email.

Thanks,

Will

I too have the same problem with Version 4.8.

In this version when a portal is set to Private and the user signs up I see that the Resource Name: EMAIL_USER_REGISTRATION_PUBLIC_BODY.TextEMAIL_USER_REGISTRATION_PRIVATE_BODY.Text is used and Works perfectly 100% by sending the user the password.

*** however ***

When an administrator Authorizes the user the another event is fired on that page and it uses the Resource Name: EMAIL_USER_REGISTRATION_PUBLIC_BODY.Text and this is where it falls apart.

I see the problem being that there should either be a new Resource Name: defined or the event that fires it needs to ave an altrernate CASE or IF statement added to check to see what type of registration the portal is set to.

I'm too new at DNN and .NET and I know enough to not be able to fix it. ARrrrrr. ;)
