How do I make a new user pay for their subscription as part of the registration process ?  I need to setup the site so that when a user signs up, they must pay in order to become a member.

The way I've tried to do it is to setup the subscribers role as being public and auto, and with a fee of $35 per year.  The trouble is, when a user registers with that setup, they automatically become a subscriber, but are not asked to pay.

Does DNN allow for what I'm trying to do ?  If so, how do I do it ?

I had a look at the subscription tools module, and I actually bought it, but after looking further into it, I still can't figure out how to have the user be forced to pay before they can register.  It seems that they still have to go through the process of registering and then subscribing.

I'm struggling with this same issue myself.  I need to have one portal setup where the visitor must pay for access.  They can't register, click a subscription link.  They payment must be part of the registration process.

I'm shocked that in 2007, version 4.5.2 of DNN, this is still not a part of the core.  It seems to be one of those perenial questions.  "How do I..."

Does anyone know of a solution?
