Ok, clearly I missed a memo somewhere which pointed to where I can find documentation regarding the new navigation providers in 4.5.  Can anyone point me in the right direction before I loose what's left of my mind?

Actually the navigation providers have been around for a couple versions now.  You can read some documentaiton on them here.

That documenation is great for developers... is there anything available for someone just trying to configure a skin?  Maybe a list of available tag names for the XML or some skin samples that do different things with the NAV?

Nina has done some work to help with skinning using the new NavMenu.

You can get a free skin using the NavMenu here.

And there is a link at the bottome of that post for some further reference
