Hi Duc,

I've had the PowerDNN plan for a couple of weeks now.  My site has never been faster.  I'm still on a shared server, but the performance of my site has never been faster.  You should check them out for the 15 days trial.

A good pro/con regarding powerdnn is at the end of this thread http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/118/threadid/126982/scope/posts/Default.aspx

Do you use Oracle?  Then try GoldFish.Net

Get it from CNET Download.com!

Mitchel....

Not sure about web host for life, but I have receive exceptional service at 3Essentials.com (www.3essentials.com)... These guys are a diamond in the ruff.

You are quite technical, I know, and they are very good for more techncial users.  Not only do they have great pricing on shared or dedicated, I have been pleased to no end with their ability to quickly respond to my trouble tickets, and they are getting better.

I run all my DNN sites there, and they have NEVER been down.

Extremely friendly, and native English speakers in Dallas, TX, if you're not afraid of American hosting!  lol

regards,
chad voller

I too have my website www.BharatWisdom.com with PowerDNN shared hosting. These guys are one of the best for DNN sites.

I think it depends on what your goals are. If you're looking for a cheap way to manage multiple domains, then webhost4life is ok..

Their Uptime is about 88% according to host-tracker.com. I had used them for quite a while and finally just couldn't deal with the availability issues anymore.

I switched to PowerDNN who remails at 100% uptime and is truly speedy.

I'd say if you're just going to host test/staging sites or demoware then webhost4life may be ok for your needs.

If you want reliability and speed for a production domain I'd suggest looking elsewhere. PowerDNN is a solid choice.

Regards,

Patrick

I'm currently with 3Essentials but am looking to switch.  My main issue is that I don't have full control of my domain.  I want to be able to host multiple subdomains through 1 DNN install.  The only way to do that is using aliases.  I've used up the aliases the package comes with on other domains (which appears to be the only way to share a DNN instance with multiple domains) and will have to purchace aditional aliases @ $1 / month if I want to included subdomains.  This isn't very DNN friendly.

Does WHFL support full domain / subdomain control?  Any information on other hosts and their domain control?

[EDIT - Update]

The folks at 3Essentials have won my loyalty.  They made sure that my needs were taken care of in order for me to transfer my site.  You should still take into consideration that you will need to use aliases in order to host multiple sites on one DNN installation and this will mean that subdomains and email addresses will have to be unique accross all domains in the aliases in this configuration (ex: me@domain.com == me@domainalias1.com == me@domainalias2.com).
