I'm using 4.4.1 DNN and am frustrated by the lack of control with user registration. My issues are:

  • If I remove a user from a security role I may not want to send them an email. I want to turn this off
  • When I select a user and click "Authorize User" then go to Manage Roles for this user, Authorized is not a listed role. But if I go to Manage roles and add Authorize, the user is not authorized until I click "Authorize User".
  • The Effective date has to entered every time, why not insert today's date as the default? the calendar popup is slow and tedious.
  • I see no way for the host or admin to send a user their credentials.

Maybe this is all fixed in 4.5?

A few things regarding some of your issues.

If a role is effective now you do NOT need to populate the effective date, I never have and have not had any issues.

If you reset the password for a user, using the "Random" password option an e-mail is sent to them with the information.

Thank you. It would save a step to not enter the effective date.
