Hi everyone.

This might be a totally stupid question, but I am new to asp.net and DNN development. I have just installed the Visual Web Developer Express Edition, created my own DNN project (which runs fine) and wanted to play around with the new Wiki module. I have installed the source version of the Wiki to the DNN portal.

Problem is I get numerous errors when building the project, like

  • 'IndexList' is not a member of 'DotNetNuke.Modules.Wiki.Router'.
  • Name 'IndexBtn' is not declared.

I am pretty sure the answer is easy, something like adding certain references to the project, but I can't figure them myself at the moment.

Thanks for any hint in advance, Tom.

I haven't used the express editions, but I believe (I could be wrong) that they won't compile projects using the WAP model (web application project), which is what the Wiki module uses. So I think you'll need Visual Studio 2k5 with SP1 installed in order to compile the Wiki module on your own using Visual Studio.

Thanks Chris, for the reply. I'll wipe the express edition from my machine, install VS 2005 and give it a try.

cu, Tom.

You are correct Chris, that is one of the limitation of the Express edtions.

Tom, did you have any luck getting VS installed and compiling the module?
