I recently upgraded my site from version 4.4.1 to 04.05.00, the drama is in a period (likely one day or serveral hours i am not sure), the first time I visit my site, the browser will be redirected to ~/Install/UnderConstruction.htm page, showing the site is currently unavailable. However after I remove the Install/UnderConstruction.htm from the address then visit my site agian, it goes to home page, It will work fine in the following hours. The next day, when the first visit, it again goes to UnderConstruction page, then works fine.

I tried to clear browser cache, access from other computers and set the AutoUpgrade to false in web.config, but still not work.

Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

Are you hosting your website on your own server?

Could it be a problem with the web server recycling the DNN application as part of its normal actions and when you visit the site DNN needs to reload the application before it can display it to you

Thanks,

Joe.

First of all if you set AutoUpgrade = false in your web.config that should help solve the symptoms.  However, you might want to try to investigate the root cause.

Are you on a hosted environment?  Have you installed any new modules recently, etc..
