FelixHelix,

I unzipped the recources.zip from the latest Report module on my harddrive. You will get an install directory where you should find the Reporting_Services_Visualizer_01.01.00_Install.zip file in the visualizers directory.

This zip you should install as an package. I found no problems with installing the package.

Good luck,

Marc

When testing this module i ran into the following issue.

I chose a to acces a report server report.

When selecting the reportserver i've said: //localhost/reportserver and for the path to the reports i have said //localhost/reports

Theser are the default settings when installing SSRS and the // are needed because i'm running this in native mode. I don't get errors anymore telling me that i can't connect but it gives me somthing else instead:

Unable to cast object of type 'System.Net.FileWebRequest' to type 'System.Net.HttpWebRequest'

This most probably will have something todo with setting up in the reports module but i can't get past this one. And googling on this error didn't ring a bell for me.

Does anyone know how to get past the above mentioned error?

Thanks in advance,

Marc

On the MSDN website i found a page about configuring the report viewer.

Now i know that at least my path to my reports was not correct. I changed this towards an existing path in my SSRS (/My First Report Project).

But after changing it to an existing path it still throws me the same error: Unable to Cast object type .......

Do i still need to setup something in the query so that i can access my reports?

Please advise,

Marc

PS: anyhow, i'll continue my strugle!!!!

The problem here appears to be caused by the fact that the path you enter for the report server: "//localhost/reportserver" is being treated as a File path because of the "//" at the beginning. Try typing: http://localhost/ReportServer and see if that fixes your problem.

Andrew,

Thanks, this really helped me out! Afterwards i still bumped into some authorization issues, but i was able to solve them.

This really  works like a charm!!!

Thanks again,

Marc
