I don't know about the rest of you, but on my standard computer keyboard with a separate number pad on the keyboard off to the right, I get a completely different behavior when pressing the <RETURN> key (probably labeled "Enter" on your keyboard) than I do when I press the <ENTER> key on the number pad.

The <RETURN> key (located just above my right shift key) sometimes seems to either copy/paste or move text somehow.  Typically this occurs when I'm editing my posts or any module that requires Text Editing in DNN 4.5.1, after I have something on my Windows clipboard.

During the normal course of typing, if I don't have to make any copy/paste edits, everything works just dandy.  However, this functionality is totally strange, and it happens no matter which 4.5.1 DNN portal I'm using, including this portal.

Give it a shot, cut and paste some text from one part of your post to another while editing, then use the <RETURN> key and see if goofy things happen.

Wasn't sure where to post this, so I thought I would simply "chat about it."

My guess is that it has to do with the default behavior of the enter key inserting <p></p> tags for each new line.

I did never encounter this behaviour, neither in IE7, nor in FF.
