I am just going to write this here because I can't seem to get anyone to respond to me so maybe I am just the only one out there that thinks this feature is worthwhile.

My company decided that we would like to make the modules that are displayed on the page to be movable by visitors to the site. So I dug around in the code and figured out what was being done to do that in the admin area and came up with a way to do it for the public areas as well. We have it now setup so you can do this on a module by module basis. So you can define the page as having the capability but then you also have to define the module as having the capability. This provides a way for them to be able to adjust only some modules on a page and not others. So for example you have news in the right column and a visitor wants to have it display on the top. They can now do that.

Now my question is: Is this a feature that others would see a use for or are we the only ones? Because I keep trying to send emails to get someone to respond but no such luck, What I am hoping is that we can include this in the core so I don't have to add this everytime they do an upgrade that we want.

Thanks for the awesome product nonetheless.

I would be happy to hear more about your ideas.  We can chat via this post or you can feel free to email me: robert.collins at dotnetnuke .com

Do I understand your post correctly; you have implemented this in a version of DNN you have deployed?  Is the site publicly accessible via the web?

I look forward to hearing more...

I'm going to move this thread to a new forum category called "Chat About It!" ( because this is not the right place for it ).

But I would like to also express interest in your approach.  We have a preliminary design for this enhancement but would be interested to understand what you have done.  Please feel free to contact me at scott.willhite at dotnetnuke.com.

Cheers
