Hi all,

We recently released a new article that explains how you can create a search engine for your DNN site using our Zoom Search Engine package:
http://www.wrensoft.com/zoom/support/tutorial_dnn.html

Zoom allows you to add a powerful custom search engine to any website or CD-ROM, and this tutorial explains how you can integrate it with your DotNetNuke site.

Zoom is free for sites of up to 50 pages, with commercial editions starting at US$49 (once off purchase, no annual fees).

Some benefits of Zoom over other search engine solutions:

  • Much more relevant and accurate search results than the built-in DNN search module. If you are finding the built-in DNN search module lacking, then you should definitely give Zoom a try.
  • No advertising, no annual fees.
  • No database setup required.
  • No scripting knowlege required.
  • Highly configurable
  • Search PDF, DOC, XLS, PPT files and more (with commercial editions of Zoom)
  • Many more options (see web site for details)

Hope this is of interest to anyone looking at improving the search function of their DNN website.
