My website runs behind a firewall and uses a different port number (say, 8080).  When I installed DNN, my url was something like this:
http://www.aykalisud.com/dnn/Default.aspx.

After a successful install, every internal link in my website now adds the port number, like this:  http://servername.aykalisud.com:8080/dnn/Home/tabid/36/ctl/Login/Default.aspx
Did I miss anything in the installation?

We're having the EXACT same problem.  Our web servers are sitting behind ISA servers and inbound traffic to DNN is over a different port (say 81).  We've added an entry to PortalAlias for the alternate port so the home page loads fine.  However, all links sent to the client contain the alternate port which isn't allowed through our firewall.  Does anybody have a solution to this problem?

We found a solution for the problem posted here.  I added an HTTP module that handles the "PreSendRequestHeaders" event and determines if the response to the client is a redirect (HTTP 302).  If so, the port information is stripped from the "RedirectLocation" as it's sent to the client.
