When you try and edit but just see the HTML code, look above the box "Rich Text Editor" is the option selected?  Also is there a little arrow head just above the top left of the box with the text in it? If it is pointing down, it will be hiding the toolbars, clicking it will show them again.  These aren't probably the causes but 'you never know..'

You will be able to tell which editor is in use by checking the setting in the web.config for the site.

I was actually hoping that the arrow head thing was the issue...but alas, it is not and the option for the "Rich Text Editor" is chosen.

Thanks for the heads up on where to find the editor info. Will check it.

This is truly baffling. I am sure it will turn out to be something really simple...at least I hope so. If not...well then it it is just a great justification for upgrading the site.

Thanks,

Melany
